“A Little Garden”

This quilt was commissioned for someone preparing to welcome a new baby. The request was for bold colors, garden crops, and plenty of beneficial insects.

To me, this quilt feels wonderfully joyful. I imagine it as a tiny garden plot ready for exploration, with insects buzzing through the air, flowers in bloom, and cool brassicas unfurling their leaves. My hope is that it becomes a dreamy little landscape for the new baby and their family to enjoy.

The binding is hand-stitched.

This quilt measures 40 × 44.
